Rainfall warning in effect for:

Kingston - Odessa - Frontenac Islands
Napanee - Consecon
Picton - Sandbanks Park
Rain, at times heavy, is expected.

More rain on tap today.

Rain is forecast to persist through today as a moisture laden low pressure area slowly moves from New York State across Eastern Ontario today then into Southern Quebec tonight. The rain will be heaviest this morning, further rainfall amounts of 10 to 20 mm are expected today before the rain finally starts to taper off to a few showers tonight.

The additional rain today is expected to bring rainfall totals to the 50 to 80 mm range across most of the region by this evening.

With the ground already saturated, there is the potential for local flooding. For information concerning flooding please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office.

Please refer to the latest weather summary for total rainfall amounts observed from this moisture laden rainstorm.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible.
