How youngsters are helping older people move online

Schoolchildren are being recruited in care homes to make sure that older people are not left behind in the digital age

A college student challenged a senior citizen, saying it was impossible for their generation to understand his. “You grew up in a different world,” the student said. “Today we have television, jet planes, space travel, nuclear energy, computers…”
Taking advantage of a pause in the student’s litany, the geezer said, “You’re right. We didn’t have those things when we were young; so we invented them! What are you doing for the next generation??”

Chalice East Africa Drought Relief Fund

Disaster Update: Chalice East Africa Drought Relief Fund

Thank you for being part of the Chalice Family.
Thank you for being a powerful example of faith, love and support to those in need.

As many Canadians hope for a dry sunny summer, this is not the case in East Africa. Currently, there is an ongoing drought and famine and we have a real need for your support. Successive seasons of failed rains combined with increasing food prices, conflict and limited humanitarian access have resulted in a crisis affecting millions of people in East Africa.

* Every dollar donated to Chalice East Africa Drought Relief Fund from 6 July to 9 Sept. will be matched by the Canadian Government.

As Mother Teresa said so eloquently:

"We ourselves feel that what we're doing is just a drop in the ocean.

But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop."

On behalf of our Chalice family in Canada and around the world, we ask for your support.

We ask that you add another drop to our Ocean.
